Job Title: Nightlife Photographer & Videographer
Position Type: On-Call Contractor
Compensation: Starting at $20/hour
Hours: Minimum 10 hours per week, including filming and editing
Schedule: Fridays & Saturday evenings; occasional weekday events

Job Overview

Scorpio’s is seeking a talented and creative Nightlife Photographer & Videographer to capture the vibrant energy of our venue. This role involves producing high-quality photos and videos during weekends and select events throughout the week. Your work will be featured across various channels, including social media, in-house television screens, and promotional materials. We’re looking for someone experienced in nightlife settings who can work independently and deliver polished content quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture a minimum of 50 high-quality, edited photos per night, focusing on crowd shots, venue aesthetics, and close-ups.
• Create 3-5 short video reels (6-10 seconds) per week for social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
• Produce 2-3 landscape and portrait videos weekly for in-house television screens and social media stories/posts.
• Capture and edit specific promotional photos as directed by the marketing team for weekly campaigns (e.g., performers, special guests).
• Create 1-2 event highlight videos (30-60 seconds) per month showcasing the best moments from events.
• Deliver 2-4 engaging Instagram stories per night worked, optimized for mobile and fitting Instagram’s vertical format.
• Capture and edit special event footage as directed by the marketing team, including short promotional videos.
• Provide edited photos and videos weekly, ensuring they meet the quality needed for print, social media, and television displays.
• Deliver all edited and final content within 24-48 hours after each event.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a photographer and videographer, especially in nightlife or event settings.
• Ability to shoot high-quality photos and videos in low-light environments.
• Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro).
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and content trends (Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
• Must provide your own camera and equipment (lenses, lighting, etc.).
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work late hours on weekends.
• Ability to work independently while following creative direction from the marketing team.

Work Hours

• Fridays & Saturday Evenings: Primary focus on capturing photos and videos between 11:30 PM – 1:30 AM.
• Occasional weekday events as directed.
• Tuesday marketing meeting Noon – 1 PM, Zoom participation available.

Compensation

• Starting at $20/hour with potential for additional compensation based on workload and project complexity.

Turnaround Time

• Deliver all edited photos and videos within 24-48 hours after each event to ensure timely use in promotions and social media.
